The league is treated as a full round robin while the schedule is still being filled: every unplayed opponent is assumed to remain until eight distinct opponent series are completed or scheduled, at which point the omitted matchup can be inferred. Scheduled series show dates; assumed series show TBD. Magic numbers now use the top-seven clinch condition: a team only needs to guarantee finishing ahead of three opponents. Head-to-head wins have extra leverage because they add one win while also adding one loss to that opponent.
